Na última quinta-feira, 28 de março, a aula inaugural do doutorado do IDOR teve como palestrante Marco Antonio Zago, médico e presidente da Fapesp. Zago esclareceu que os grandes avanços da ciência só foram possíveis por meio da transformação de conceitos fundamentais, desde a caracterização da molécula de DNA até o desenvolvimento de novos fármacos contra o câncer. O médico também destacou, em palestra, que o processo criativo da ciência depende de muitas mentes para dar origem a novas descobertas e aplicações: “O processo de conhecimento na ciência ocorre como nos movimentos artísticos, as ideias vão uma influenciando a outra.”
