Estudo do IDOR, em parceria com a UFABC e a Organização Viva e Deixe Viver, revelou que a contação de histórias é capaz de aumentar a produção de ocitocina e reduzir níveis de cortisol e dor em crianças hospitalizadas em UTIPs. A pesquisa foi realizada com mais de 80 crianças internadas no Hospital São Luiz Jabaquara, da RDSL, em São Paulo.
