Pesquisa

Nosso grupo realiza pesquisas com foco em: (i) desenvolvimento de terapias celulares e genéticas para as necessidades médicas ainda não atendidas; (ii) estudo de células-tronco pluripotentes induzidas derivadas de pacientes para modelar distúrbios do neurodesenvolvimento / distúrbios do espectro do autismo; (iii) utilização de métodos de biologia molecular aplicados à identificação de biomarcadores e diagnósticos clínicos. 

Nossa principal motivação é contribuir com a ciência translacional e com a melhoria de diagnósticos e tratamentos, trazendo nossos achados da bancada para a prática, combinando abordagens multidisciplinares, tecnologia de ponta, estudos pré-clínicos e clínicos.

Palavras-chave: terapia celular e gênica, iPSC, autismo, biomarcadores.
