A Dra. Renata Perez é pesquisadora do IDOR e Professora Associada do Departamento de Clínica Médica da Universidade Federal do Rio de Janeiro. Seu grupo investiga novas ferramentas de diagnóstico e prognóstico em doenças hepáticas, especialmente doença hepática gordurosa não alcoólica e complicações da cirrose hepática. Sua pesquisa se concentra na análise de novos biomarcadores, no desempenho da ressonância magnética do fígado e em outros testes clínicos, laboratoriais e de imagem na avaliação diagnóstica e prognóstica de doenças hepáticas.
